  8. apologies

It’s really hard for me to apologize to someone…like when I LEGITIMATELY and GENUINELY tell someone I am sorry…I am just not used to being in the wrong with another person…I am usually the one who gets apologized too, it sounds really bad but I try so hard to do my best to never hurt someone so I won’t have to apologize ever…But when I am wrong and whenever I get to the point where I am going to apologize I just start to feel uncomfortable and awkward…I guess it’s because  I don’t do it enough but I feel like apologies are dumb, especially when I am making the apology…even though I want to be as sincere as possible I feel like I don’t sound sincere.

The other thing that makes me uncomfortable about apologies is what happens AFTER you apologize…Like when I’m wrong it’s usually because I did something to get into a HUGE fight with my friend…We are arguing back and forth and we are furious with each other and it’s like an awkward tension in the room and then I apologize and I still feel awkward. It’s like how do we go back to being the same friends we were 2 seconds ago when we were legit fighting and super annoyed with one another…I just think it is sooo weird that things go back to “normal” but for me the normal has changed; I discovered something new about that person, something I would have never known if we weren’t fighting, something I don’t know if I can even appreciate, it’s like now I have to tread carefully in hopes of not having another blowout.

I hate arguments, I really do
